You create a new character along with the new player and go through story mode and complete the game. There are 2 options you can level a new player to the game… Then you can use the same process as I described for the seasonal pl.Ĭonsidering going seasonal gets them the free class set for the season journey and the option to start winning stash tabs, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to me to not have them make a seasonal character, unless your seasonal character can’t pull off a T6 carry. Killing Maltheal is all that’s required to unlock adventure mode for your friend. If you use a character that has beaten campaign mode you can go to game settings and select the quest you’re on to be beating Maltheal. If you are doing this in non-season, you should still create the game, but adventure mode will not be unlocked for them. You can also take some bonus xp items like gem of ease instead of emerald in weapon, and ruby in helm (unless losing cdr breaks your build) since T6 is so easy you won’t need the full damage, assuming your character that you use to PL does high torments easily. Note that you should create the game so the monsters/game is level 70 and you still get level 70 drops (they will get drops at their level still regardless, but if you make them you can get lvl 70 items, DBs, etc that wouldn’t work if they make and the game is their level). If seasonal, adventure mode is unlocked right away, so just make a T6 game with them in the party on adventure mode and run them though a few Nephelem Rifts. That said, here’s the answer to your question.Īre you planning on doing this on season or non-season? I agree that going though the campaign mode on your own initially is a valuable part of learning the game.
